A mid-senior level Full Stack Engineer, with more emphasis on “server/backend” vs client side. More of our SaaS application is on the backend/server side than on client side.
The slope of your learning is MORE important than your total years of experience.
You should embrace “agile”, and not just in the Scrum/Lean process way. You should know the tradeoffs between flexibility and abstraction. We believe early optimization is the root of all evil. If the library exists and has a good community around it then we will use that vs “Not Invented Here” syndrome.
You should also have a solid grasp of SQL, Relational Databases, and NoSQL/JSON format storage. Know what/how you are going to build queries, what is “primary” and “secondary” information and store accordingly, and the cost of the queries when you have tens of millions of rows vs “test data”.
Bonus if you have worked with CRMs such as Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics and Chatbots.
